Murray Pfaff of Pfaff Designs has enjoyed a successful history of innovative design work and a handful of attention worthy project builds. His personal builds that have been featured in over 20 magazine titles, HOT ROD TV, Powerblock TV, Optima Invitational, Detroit Autorama, Goodguys, HOT ROD’s Power Tour, Syracuse Nationals Pro Awards, SEMA and other national shows across the country.

Now Murray has applied his creative design sensibilities to something more macho, a Ram 1500 Express. Murray has enlisted a brand new Ram 1500 Express 2WD to serve double duty as the new Pfaff Designs shop truck and show vehicle. With a nod to the great Mopar graphic packages of the 70’s, Murray has modernized the Macho Power Wagon, to create the Draggin’ Wagon.

The two-wheel drive is lowered 4” thanks to a BellTech kit and Hellwig sway bars. The stance is be adjusted further with bigger street rubber by Toyo Tires nestled into the fenders on staggered 20”/22” Forgeline rims. Under hood, air delivery to the 5.7 HEMI is maximized utilizing a K&N cold air intake feeding a Magnuson supercharger putting out 535 horses and exhaust flowing through a cat back system and 5” tips from Magnaflow. Stopping power is increased with rotors and pads from EBC Brakes.

Murray has applied his design style with a set of custom “eye black” brake ducts, hood intake, and “washboard” hood vent. These one off parts are engineered by Classic Design Concepts and 3-D printed using laser sintering technology in Nylon 11 with glass beads by the Synergeering Group, Farmington Hills, MI. Inside a leather interior upgrade by Alea Leather compliments the granite, white, and angry banana yellow PPG Envirobase paint. That’s Minor Customs sprayed the colorful paint application while RM Motorsports handled the performance installations and Szott M-59 Dodge Ram SRT provides dealer support.

Inside the cab a compliment of MTX Audio speakers and Thunderform subwoofer/amp enclosure provides the beat. LINE-X protects the bed, an AMP BedXtender keeps everything contained, while TaleGator provides seating for two, and a BAK Industries Revolver X2 tonneau keeps the elements and thieves out. Finally, Pilot Transport will handle the transportation responsibilities in delivering the truck to shows and events across the country. This is one modern muscle truck that turns heads, as well as, tires!
